Celebrating academic achievement

On 24th October 2025, during the University of Plymouth graduation ceremonies at the Theatre Royal, Amprologix CSO Mat Upton had the pleasure of presenting a Research Excellence Award to graduating Human Biosciences student Henas Ahmed.

This award recognises the highest mark achieved for a research project completed by a final year Human Bioscience student, and reflects the academic achievement and scientific rigour shown by Henas during this project. Mat congratulated Henas on her outstanding performance and wished her every success as she embraks on the next stage of her career.

CSO Mat Upton: “Supporting early career scientists is such an important aspect of research. It’s inspiring to see how this graduating cohort has developed, and I look forward to following how the next generation of researchers will drive innovation in biomedical science and biotechnology”.

Supporting emerging talent

At Amprologix, we are proud to sponsor a number of academic awards recognising excellence among students in Biomedical Science programmes at the University of Plymouth. These awards, alongside our support for placement students, highlights our ongoing commitment to supporting emerging scientific talent and strengthening the bridge between academic research and biotechnology innovation.

Our partnership with the University of Plymouth reflects a shared dedication to translational research, antimicrobial discovery, and the development of novel therapeutic solutions, all areas at the core of our mission to address the growing challenge of antimicrobial resistance.

So from everyone at Amprologix, congratulations to Henas Ahmed and to all the University of Plymouth graduates who celebrated their achievements this year.
