This summer we’ve been pleased to welcome Rutendo Mupfumi from the University of Plymouth to the Amprologix lab.

As part of her Biomedical Sciences degree, Rutendo Mupfumi has joined the team to gain hands-on experience in a biotech research environment and see how discoveries in the lab can be turned into meaningful solutions that make a real-world impact.
Now halfway through her placement, Rutendo has been busy developing and applying her skills in microbiology, cell culture, and data analysis, as well as dealing with the inevitable and unexpected challenges that come with any research project.
Here’s what Rutendo had to say about her project so far:
‘This has been a great opportunity for me to see how biotech research works, and I’m excited to see how my results can contribute to bigger projects in the future’.
Placements like this are a great opportunity for students to improve their research skills, build confidence, and improve problem-solving abilities while working in a collaborative research environment. We’re excited to see what Rutendo achieves in the remainder of her placement and beyond.
