CSO Mat Upton joined 19 other start-ups that were selected from 700 applicants for a place at the Qatar Foundation WISH meeting on 4-6th October 2022.
CSO Mat Upton joined 19 other start-ups that were selected from 700 applicants for a place at the Qatar Foundation WISH meeting on 4-6th October 2022. Selected companies were in the health and tech sector and attended the meeting for workshops and networking opportunities and to pitch on the Spotlight Stage. All companies were given a booth at the event and Amprologix hosted visitors from the Qatar Health Ministry, a delegation of the Tanzanian Prime Minister, the Times newspaper, and Commonwealth Secretariat, among others.
Mat was introduced to technology specialists from USA university campuses based in the Education City, Doha and made links with local clinicians and academics. It was a valuable trip to an area with potential new markets for drugs active against pathogens like MRSA, which have a higher prevalence in the GCC region than in other parts of the world.
